Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Industrial Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role demands advanced analytical abilities, expertise in solving complex data problems, and the capability to develop sophisticated, high-profile production plans and schedules. The ideal candidate will leverage their academic industrial engineering skills and industry experience to optimize our production processes and drive efficiency.

Essential Functions
  • Develop and implement advanced production plans and schedules to meet organizational goals
  • Analyze complex data sets to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements in production processes
  • Utilize industrial engineering principles to design and optimize workflows, layouts, and resource allocation
  • Lead the development of predictive models to forecast production needs and capacity requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of production plans with business objectives
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and production planners in best practices and advanced techniques
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements to continuously improve production planning processes
  • Expand deployment of flow lines and HPU implementations to realize additional savings of at least $4M / positive EACs
  • Optimize site layouts and process designs to increase COTD %
  • Run site simulations to model and analyze processes, anticipating and addressing bottlenecks, optimizing production scenarios (workflow and resource allocation), and achieving lead time reduction (additional throughput/less COPQ)
  • 25% travel required
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of prior related experience
  • Proven experience as an Industrial Engineer, preferably in a senior role
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex data problems
  • Proficiency in complex production planning and scheduling
  • Expertise in using industrial engineering principles to optimize workflows and resource allocation
  • Experience with predictive modeling and forecasting
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience applying Industrial Engineering principles to improve manufacturing systems, including facilities planning, capacity planning, and production plan creation
  • Experience with process improvement tools including Lean, Six Sigma, 6S, or Kaizen
  • Candidate must have an analytical mindset and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience developing analytical tools and models is required (e.g., operations research, forecasting models, Python/SQL, throughput simulation software, Power BI)
Preferred Additional Skills
  • Ability to obtain DoD Clearance
  • Familiarity with Control/SAP or similar MRP-based systems
  • Advanced knowledge of production scheduling software and tools
  • Experience in mentoring and guiding junior engineers
  • Familiarity with industry trends and advancements
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience working with a Manufacturing Execution System
  • Knowledge in AutoCAD and/or Pro‑E, technical writing, MS Project, MS Office, and/or MS Share Point
