Job DescriptionA client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring an Engineering Technician.
Position Type: Full time Contract, Temp to Direct.
Duration: 06-12 Months

Palm Bay, FL (Onsite)
As an Engineering Technician, you will:
- Engineering Support Technician qualified to develop and execute specialty material processes and support evaluation and testing of metallic, non-metallic, and composite materials used in Aerospace and Defense programs.
- Work with Materials & Processes engineers to develop and perform destructive and non-destructive techniques which include material property testing, analytical methods, failure analysis, and surface preparation
- Responsibilities include interfacing with internal customers to assist in the selection, evaluation, and application of numerous materials and processes relevant to the technical activities.
- Work is hands‑on in a lab environment involving manufacturing process development of structural/non-structural bonding, coating, molding applications
Essential Functions:
- Metallurgical and electronic component cross-sectioning and polishing includes sample preparation, potting, etching, and microscopy.
- Adhesive bonding includes surface preparation, cleaning, chemical etch, and priming.
- Over molding and potting cables. Design of molds.
- Drawing interpretation per ASME Y14.100
- Working with internal customer teams in a development lab and development type environment
- Working with minimal supervision and high degree of initiative
- Working with and around hazardous chemicals
- Assisting in routine laboratory operations
The ideal candidate will have:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with minimum of 6 years industry experience in a laboratory environment or associate’s degree with 2 years’ industry experience.
- Skilled at cross-sectioning, polishing, surface preparation, chemical etch, and priming
- Competency in MS Office Suite and proficiency in documenting procedures
- Works well in team environment.
- Work on multiple projects at one time
- Knowledge of machining operations
- Proficiency maintaining and troubleshooting laboratory equipment

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $25-$30 per hour.
* Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
