We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Proposal and Cost Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of programs by analyzing bid requirements and specifications. The ideal candidate will collaborate with program managers and other departments to develop compelling proposals that ensure profitability and meet client requirements. Provide financial program support by creating reports for analysis and decision making.
EssentialFunctions
- Responsible for the financial functions associated with the business acquisition process (proposals) and program execution process (programs)
- Evaluate historical data and industry benchmarks for more accurate estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the accuracy of estimates and proposals.
- Develop and prepare comprehensive proposals, quotations, and bid packages for clients and prospective clients.
- Assist in identifying project risks and opportunities to help minimize costs and improve bid competitiveness.
- Work with program management and program teams to report on the health of the program and status by tracking program costs throughout the project lifecycle and provide financial reporting and trending data as needed by utilizing EVMS metrics.
- Develop, communicate, and recommend action plans with program teams to ensure financial targets and program goals are achieved.
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 0 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

- Peoplesoft Experience
- Experience with Contract compliance
