About the Role
Friends of Children and Families is seeking a qualified Therapist to provide therapy to at-risk youth in our residential group homes in Palm Bay, Cocoa, and Union Park. Must be available for on‑call evenings, weekends, and holidays, and willing to commute to all three sites.
Compensation & BenefitsBase pay: $48,000.00–$56,000.00 per year. Pay range varies by license status: $48,000–$52,000 for non‑licensed therapists; $53,000–$56,000 for licensed therapists. Sign‑on bonus: $1,500 upon successful completion of a 90‑day probationary period.

Friends pays 80% of an individual plan. Dental insurance:
Friends pays 60% of an individual plan. Vision insurance:
Friends pays 60% of an individual plan.
Life insurance: $15,000 benefit;
Friends pays 100% of the premium. Long‑term disability:
Friends pays 100% of the premium. 401(k): eligible after one year of employment; company match up to 4%.
Paid time off and 10 observed holidays annually.
Responsibilities- Provide individual, group, and family counseling.
- Oversee implementation of treatment plans and monitor overall course of treatment.
- Train direct care staff—new hire, ongoing, and treatment‑plan training.
- Participate in weekly treatment team meetings.
- Schedule psychiatric appointments for clients as needed.
- Consult with children, parents, social workers, caseworkers, and DSPs about the child’s welfare.
- Provide support for after‑hours placement and clinical emergencies.
- Review medication logs weekly, ensuring correct administration and dosage.
- Maintain Medicaid files, ensuring complete review and filing of all pertinent documents.
- Adhere to contract standards, completing reports in a timely basis.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Master’s degree from an accredited university or college in counseling, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, special education, or a related human services field.
- Two years of related field experience or internship.
- Licensed or licensed‑eligible therapist preferred; supervision available for LMHC and LMFT licensure.
- Must have a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license; must complete required documentation within specified time frames.
- Must be available for on‑call evenings, weekends, and holidays.
