Repair and Tool Technicians are responsible for evaluating and repairing small engines, outdoor power equipment, and handheld electrical devices. They make equipment recommendations and ensure units are maintained properly. Technicians work both in stores with Tool Rental Centers and in repair centers.

In stores, technicians provide customer service in Tool Rental, including writing customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and repairs, checking tool operation, and demonstrating proper use as needed. They are also responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of equipment in the tool rental department.

In non-store locations, technicians ensure units are repaired, tested for quality, cleaned, and returned to the store where the repair originated. They must have thorough knowledge of all tools and effectively manage the tool inventory by maintaining and repairing tools as necessary.
