Shop Service Technician III - Heavy Equipment Responsibilities

• Conduct all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental and contamination control policies, procedures and regulations.
• Wear proper personal protective equipment.
• Maintain a minimum set of tools required for job performance to diagnose, disassemble and assemble components to manufacturer’s specifications.
• Attend and successfully complete required technician training classes.
• Diagnose and perform designated repairs on customer or company owned equipment, including mechanical, electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs.
• Work in the assigned area in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly looking for ways to improve work methods, the work area and safety standards.
• Research repair needs and order parts as needed.
• Complete required documentation utilizing appropriate software to document repairs performed on equipment, and accounting for repair times.
• Approach work in a positive manner and maintain conduct that is supportive of the work team, contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations.
• Assist with maintaining proper facility appearance and shop conditions by following contamination control guidelines, including housekeeping, and performing other general maintenance duties.

  Education:
  
  High School diploma or GED.
• Experience: 1-2 years.
• Required Credentials: Completed all required training curriculum to be designated a Tech III.
• Communication: able to comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.
• Not Required But Highly Desired: proficient in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products and relevant Dealer software programs.
