Salesforce QA & Release Engineer
Required
Skills & Experience:
- 4+ years of Salesforce QA, Test Engineering, or Release Engineering experience
- Experience testing Salesforce configurations, customizations, integrations, and deployments
- Strong test automation background
- Hands-on experience with Apex testing and Salesforce testing best practices
- Experience with regression automation (Apex tests, Provar, Selenium, CI hooks, or comparable automation frameworks)
- CI/CD pipeline experience and automated quality gate implementation
- Agile delivery and release train experience
- Experience creating and executing regression testing strategies
- Ability to track and analyze quality metrics such as defect escape rates, test coverage, and MTTR
- Experience participating in production deployments and release planning
- Experience with AI-assisted test generation and CI quality gates
Nice to Have
Skills & Experience:
- Experience building AI-generated testing frameworks
- Knowledge of Data Cloud/Data 360 environments
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale CRM transformations
- Manufacturing, distribution, dealer network, or channel-based business experience
Job Description:
The QA & Release Engineer owns release quality, test automation, and production readiness across a Salesforce-driven product environment. This individual is responsible for building automated testing frameworks, validating releases through both automation and exploratory testing, managing deployment quality gates, and making go/no-go recommendations based on release data. The ideal candidate brings deep Salesforce QA experience, strong automation skills, CI/CD expertise, and a modern AI-first approach to test generation, quality assurance, and release management.
Day to Day:
- Build and maintain regression automation frameworks for Salesforce applications
- Develop automated testing solutions using Apex testing, Selenium, Provar, and CI/CD tools
- Execute release validation activities and production readiness reviews
- Partner closely with the Platform Lead and development teams during release cycles
- Coordinate deployment testing and production release execution
- Leverage AI tools to generate test cases from Salesforce metadata and requirements
- Identify testing gaps AI may overlook, including sharing models, permissions, security, and bulk processing scenarios
- Create and maintain automated quality gates within CI/CD pipelines
- Monitor release quality metrics including defect escape rates, coverage, and mean time to resolution (MTTR)
- Execute exploratory testing on high-risk functionality
- Provide objective go/no-go recommendations based on release readiness data
- Ensure all production deployments meet established quality standards before release
- Continuously improve testing automation, deployment reliability, and overall software quality
