Dishwasher (Utility Associate)

Age Well Solvere Living (Tuscan Gardens of Palm Coast) is looking for a full‑time Dishwasher (Utility Associate) who will play a key role in maintaining clean and sanitary conditions for our community food services, facilities, and equipment. This position provides an opportunity to support residents and contribute to the overall well‑being of our community.

The Community Utility Associate performs a variety of food service functions including washing dishes, cleaning equipment, managing food and supply storage, removing garbage, and maintaining a clean floor after each meal.

• Follow the posted work schedule, arrive on time and in appropriate work attire.
• Properly wash china, flatware, glassware and other kitchen equipment, including machine rinse pressure and water temperature.
• Maintain kitchen and assigned areas in a sanitary condition.
• Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with kitchen personnel and residents.
• Adhere to food‑handling procedures and regulations.
• Operate kitchen appliances such as garbage disposal, microwave, coffee maker, and ice machine.
• Help with food preparation, inventory, maintenance, deliveries and stocking shelves as needed.
• Follow all emergency procedures and understand all safety practices.
• Report on‑job injuries to the Community Cook or Food & Beverage Director before the end of the shift.
• Communicate effectively with the Food & Beverage Director and other staff.
• Notify the Director of any physical or mental health changes of a resident immediately.
• Maintain acceptable attendance and notify the Director of any lateness or inability to work.

• High School diploma preferred; GED accepted.
• Some kitchen experience desirable.
• Basic knife skills required.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Good judgment, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Physically able to bend, reach, push, pull, lift up to 40‑50 pounds, and stand for extended periods.

• May be required to work weekends, holidays, and on shifts other than the one for which hired.
• May be required to work extended hours (up to 16 hours per day).
• May be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, and conditions including HIV, AIDS, and Hepatitis B and
  
  C.
• May encounter hostile or emotionally upset residents due to mental status.
• Must be in good physical and emotional health and free of communicable diseases.
• Background, criminal, and drug tests may be required; random drug testing during employment possible.
• May be asked to submit to random drug test, have picture taken and image used in social media or community advertising, and may be video recorded by devices installed by families.
