We’re Hiring Certified Flaggers!
Join our team to help keep traffic safe and flowing during construction projects.
Key duties include:- Setting up safety equipment such as cones and signs, directing vehicles and pedestrians using appropriate hand signals and flags.
- Monitoring traffic flow and communicating with construction crews to relay any necessary information.
- Certified flaggers must possess a flagger certification, be knowledgeable of state and local traffic regulations, and be able to perform their duties in varying weather conditions while maintaining a high level of situational awareness.
- Individuals to complete a training program approved by a recognized authority, which covers topics such as traffic control practices, safety protocols, and the proper use of flagging equipment.
- Participants often learn about relevant laws and regulations regarding road work zones, as well as effective communication techniques for directing traffic safely.
- Upon successful completion of the training, individuals may receive certification that is valid for a specified period, usually requiring renewal or re-certification afterwards.
- Specific requirements can vary by state or agency, so it's important to check local guidelines.
