United Cerebral Palsy of the Inland Empire (UCPIE) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with developmental disabilities such as cerebral palsy, autism, Down syndrome, intellectual delays, and epilepsy. Serving the San Bernardino and Riverside County areas in Southern California, UCPIE provides a range of services including respite care, after-school programs, adaptive sports, and resource and referral services. With a mission to advance independence, productivity, and full citizenship for people with disabilities, UCPIE currently supports over 350 children and families.

Position SummaryThe Associate Director is a member of the Director's advisory committee which collaborates to provide leadership and vision in the establishment of policy and procedures to effectively deliver comprehensive program services. The Associate Director oversees the Respite Program, Skill Builders Program and Outreach Program. The Associate Director is responsible for establishing relationships with all UCPIE staff and will ensure day-to-day program services are managed in the absence of the Director of Program Services.
The Associate Director will assist in developing program policies and procedures, conduct program assessment and evaluation, manage fiscal administration, and participate in strategic planning.
- Strong skills in Program Management and Program Development, including creating, implementing, and evaluating services for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or Regional Center-funded programs.
- Experience in nonprofit program development or evaluation preferred.
- Proficiency in Project Management to handle multiple initiatives, set priorities, and oversee timelines effectively.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills essential for team supervision and collaboration.
- Experience in working with nonprofit organizations or within the field of developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of compliance standards and regulations related to services for individuals with developmental disabilities.
