Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Palm Harbor, FL.
Job Type: Contract to Hire (Contract).

Description: The primary purpose of this position is to perform work that involves conventional engineering practice. The engineer ensures internal and external customer expectations are met or exceeded. Initiates, directs, and manages the design, development, construction, and modification of products and processes from conception to implementation. Works closely with other departments to coordinate design engineering activities and reviews, initiates, or approves engineering drawings, layouts, change orders, and specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Initiate, direct and manage the design, development, construction, and modification of products and processes.
• Coordinate design engineering activities with other departments.
• Review, initiate or approve engineering drawings, layouts, change orders and specifications.

Qualifications:

• Entry level experience in mechanical design.
• Proficiency in CAD tools such as Solid Works, Creo, or similar.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to work in a team environment.
• Computer skills – basic word‑processing, spreadsheet, and problem‑solving abilities.

Skills: Mechanical design, Solid Works, Creo, new product development, engineering, medical device.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range is $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per hour. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may include:
