Job SummaryThe Desktop Support Technician III is a primary associate responsible for tier 1‑2 help desk support for the company’s 500+ internal and remote employees in a campus environment. This position serves as the main point of contact for technical assistance and support for internal applications, software, and hardware issues in a fast‑paced, dynamic setting. The technician should have strong working knowledge of current desktop and systems support technology, including workstation and laptop repair and configuration, networking equipment, and mobile devices.
The Desktop Support Technician will be required to carry a phone/pager and respond to after‑hours service requests when designated on call.
Candidate must be willing to work at the corporate office in Palm Harbor, FL daily.
Key Responsibilities- Win 2019‑2022 Server Administration
- Internet Information Server / Web Server Administration
- Intranet applications, systems and servers
- Server / Infrastructure Administration
- Staff / PC Support
- Print server and printer administration
- Customer service and support
- Experience with Cisco Any Connect and Check Point Endpoint remote user VPN support
- Maintain server room infrastructure (power / HVAC / connectivity)
- Telecommunications Administration experience – preferred, VoIP
- Ability to manage Online Project Communication’s ticket queue
- New hire onboarding and training
- All previous Level 1 and 2 responsibilities
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with little oversight
- Self‑motivated and success‑oriented
- Ability to multi‑task with a high degree of professionalism and responsiveness
- Able to maintain grace under pressure
- Ability to take ownership of a task and see it through to completion
- PDQ Deploy (remote installation and patching)
- PXE (computer imaging)
- Entrapass (badge access)
- Exchange 365 (emails)
- Microsoft Bit Locker Administration
- Active Directory/RSAT
- Well versed in supporting current Microsoft client and server operating systems, and Active Directory
- Experience with Dell or equivalent client, server & networking hardware / equipment
- Experience supporting VPN technology & communications
- The ability to support a high number of end‑user computing devices
- HS Diploma or GED required; AA in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field is preferred
- Minimum two years of desktop support and/or system administration experience in an appropriate technical environment
- May also be assigned various projects and tasks as needed
- Occasional local travel may be required for support activities
