We are hiring immediately for part‑time PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE (DIETARY AIDE) positions.

• Location:

• Pay Rate: $24.30 per hour.
• No prior experience required.

Job Summary
Patient Dining Associates work on assigned units in a healthcare facility, helping patients make menu selections, assemble, deliver and pick‑up their meal trays. They are part of the caregiving team and are responsible for patient safety and satisfaction by ensuring meals are accurate and delivered at the correct time and temperature.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Help patients understand menu selections and collaborate with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements or restrictions.
• Work with caregivers and culinary staff to determine menu alternatives for patients with food allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic or religious preferences, or additional selections requested by patients.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection in a timely and accurate manner; retrieve trays from patient rooms at assigned times.
• Comply with regulator agency standards (federal, state, JCAHO), facility confidentiality, and HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food, cleaning work stations, and breaking down patient tray lines.
• Adhere to infection control policies and procedures.
• Assist dietitians with monitoring patients who cannot ingest food orally, are on liquid diets, or have specific calorie requirements.
• Communicate problems or concerns to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Complete all daily, weekly or monthly reports as outlined in policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver food delivery carts.
