Thompson Palm Springs is recruiting an enthusiastic Banquets Manager to join the hotel’s F&B team. It is the desert’s most exciting destination tailored for influential locals and sophisticated globetrotters alike. Located at the heart of Palm Canyon Drive, the hotel offers 168 bungalow‑inspired guest rooms and suites, a 8,000 square‑foot event space and additional outdoor and unique spaces. Thompson Palm Springs also houses its own dining concepts, two pools and lounges, a 30,000‑square‑foot retail space, a state‑of‑the‑art fitness center and a tasting room from HALL Napa Valley.

Responsibilities
  • Lola Rose, Grand Mezze – a three‑meal restaurant & lounge.
  • In‑Room Dining – offering breakfast, lunch & dinner.
  • Pool food and beverage service.
  • Responsible for the short‑ and long‑term planning of these outlets.
  • Ensure effective hiring, training, development and promotion of team.
  • Lead and coach team towards exceptional guest services and colleague satisfaction.
  • Full understanding of colleague engagement.
  • Maintain a high energy, positive, professional appearance.
  • Plan, coordinate & manage special events and holiday functions.
  • Take initiative to run the outlets as a free‑standing entity.

The pay range for this position is $60,100 to $87,000. The exact salary will be based on experience and education.

Qualifications
  • Strong desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Refined written and verbal communication skills.
  • Drive to exceed guest expectations.
  • Full‑time management role requiring full flexibility, weekends and holidays.
  • Previous experience as Assistant Restaurant Manager, Assistant F&B Manager, or supervisory role.
  • Experience in Banquets and/or Event Services is a plus.
  • Proficient computer knowledge, including point of sales systems.
  • Detail‑oriented, organized, with strong leadership and food & beverage knowledge.
  • High energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, and customer‑service focus.
