Emergency Medicine Program Director
Position:
Program Director for a new community‑based Emergency Medicine residency program at Palmdale Regional Medical Center, Antelope Valley, North Los Angeles County (2026 start).
Palmdale Regional Medical Center (PRMC) is a 190‑bed Advanced Primary Stroke Center with a 35‑bed Emergency Department and a robust elective program. The program will be part of the Southwest Healthcare Medical Education Consortium (SHMEC) and will be designed to provide trainees with diverse clinical exposure, didactics, research opportunities, and involvement in hospital operations.
Responsibilities- Serve as Program Director, teaching, and clinical leader.
- Lead the application process for initial ACGME accreditation (consulting phase) and maintain accreditation thereafter.
- Oversee curriculum development, quality of education, and experiential دریافت areas.
- Conduct resident interviews, selection, and evaluations.
- Provide mentorship, teaching, and administrative oversight to residents.
- Partner with hospital and medical staff to ensure effective integration within the organization.
- Balance clinical practice with the contracted EM group at PRMC, utilizing a wRVU model.
- Board certification ఎన్నిక by the ABEM or AOBEM.
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience as Program Director, Associate Program Director, or core faculty.
- Demonstrated leadership, educational and clinical competence.
- History of scholarly activities or research.
- Active membership or committee work in Emergency Medicine professional associations.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
Base salary: $270,000–$370,000 per year (dependent on productivity and number of shifts). Clinical practice will be supported within the EM group and includes a wRVU incentive.
