Position Overview

Northrop Grumman seeks a Engineer NDT in Palmdale, CA to join our Aeronautics Systems sector. The role focuses on inspecting composite aerospace components and other energetic and non‑energetic articles, developing and implementing unique nondestructive inspection techniques, and working closely with design, project and quality engineers to select the best NDT methods for optimum product quality at lowest cost.

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,300.00 – $

• Inspect composite aerospace components and related articles.

• Develop and implement unique nondestructive inspection techniques, methods, and procedures.

• Collaborate with design, project, and quality engineers to select and implement the best NDT method.

• Ensure product quality at the lowest cost.

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of experience as an Ultrasonic Level III or high school diploma and 6 years of NDI experience, including at least 3 years as an Ultrasonic Level III.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD clearance per business requirements and ability to obtain Special Program Access.
• Must be able to work any shift.

• Multiple Level III ASNT certifications.
• DoD Secret clearance.
• Special Program Access.
