Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking for a Senior Principal Facilities Construction Project Management (Level
4) to join our team! This position will be located on site in Palmdale, California. The Senior Principal Facilities Construction Project Management (Level
4) will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and site management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:
* This position oversees and manages the facilities projects and construction activities and serves as liaison between leadership, program and other customers.

* Act as primary contact for facilities between customers and maintenance for equipment and machinery project activities.

* Gather, review, and finalize requirements data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.

* Plan, design, and oversee the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.

* Coordinate with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.

* Prepare Scopes of Work and supporting documents for procurement of design and construction services.

* Review and estimate costs, including design, equipment, installation, labor, materials, construction, and other related costs.

* Inspect or direct the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.

* Manage and execute multiple facilities projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.

* Forecast and report on project status, including key project metrics for Risk, Cost, and Schedule.

* Produce and implement risk mitigation and schedule recovery plans as required.

* Identifies any task that will require special inspection and coordinates with customer and contractors

* Coordinate and update the Air Force as required for projects, budgets, and schedule. Basic Qualifications for the Level 4 Senior Project Management:
* A minimum of high school diploma or GED and 11 years of combined project management, facilities construction project management, or facilities management experience OR with Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience OR Master's Degree and 6 year of experience.

* Knowledge of construction related disciplines. Able to communicate effectively and clearly too present technical approaches and findings.

* Work with subject matter experts, suppliers, etc. (as required) to quickly and efficiently troubleshoot and solve issues related to mechanical system, machines and or material assemblies.

* Prepares Scopes of Work and supporting documents for procurement of design and construction services.
