Description:

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Airframe Structures Design Engineer for the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) in Palmdale, California. A successful candidate will apply technical expertise in developing solutions to aircraft structural design problems. Responsibilities for this position may include:
- Creation and/or modification of primary and secondary structural parts, assemblies, installations, and interface control models/documents.
- Contributing to developing, testing, and validating aircraft structural designs.
- Assisting in creating system requirements, trade studies, statements of work, and test plans.
- Coordination with internal Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), with some interaction with external IPTs and suppliers. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering

- Experience with 3DX, CATIA, Solidworks, or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool
- Experience creating and/or modifying drawings

- Experience with 3DX or CATIA V5
- Experience in detailed design of composite and metallic structures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 - $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.

Pay Rate:
