Airframe Structural Design Engineer – Level 2 at Lockheed Martin, Palmdale, California.
Job DescriptionLockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full‑time Airframe Structures Design Engineer for the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) in Palmdale. The successful candidate will apply technical expertise in developing solutions to aircraft structural design problems.
Responsibilities- Creation and/or modification of primary and secondary structural parts, assemblies, installations, and interface control models/documents.
- Contributing to developing, testing, and validating aircraft structural designs.
- Assisting in creating system requirements, trade studies, statements of work, and test plans.
- Coordination with internal Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), with some interaction with external IPTs and suppliers.
- Experience with 3DX or CATIA V5
- Experience in detailed design of composite and metallic structures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team‑based environment
- Must be a U.S. citizen (position requires a government security clearance).
Onsite Full‑time:
The work will be performed at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
