Key Responsibilities- Lead a group of 5 to 15 hourly non‑exempt employees and/or level 1 managers.
- Manage and coordinate machining/tool fabrication activities across multiple programs, ensuring appropriate staffing/de‑staffing actions.
- Own responsibility for program and technical performance, providing objective‑oriented directions to reporting personnel.
- Monitor and manage risk items, ensuring effective and timely mitigating actions.
- Promote Lean, Knowledge Management, and other process improvement initiatives, sharing lessons learned and best practices.
- Manage personnel performance evaluation, merit planning, employee development, and utilization of EVMS to manage direct costs.
- Lead the 4/10 second shift, 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off (shift may change with business needs).
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related professional/military experience in manufacturing, aerospace, design, tooling, or related industries.
- 2 years of prior management or leadership experience.
- Availability to work any shift.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (US citizenship required).
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access.
- Previous supervisory and management experience managing large projects in machining, tool fabrication, manufacturing, assembly processes, and flight hardware production.
- Experience managing shop schedules with dynamic priority changes.
- Aerospace or aviation industry experience managing machine shops, tool fabrication shops, and shop flow scheduling.
- Strong project management, Microsoft Office, communication, and presentation skills.
Primary Level Salary Range: $ – $ (guideline).
