Opening

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Deployable Avionics Technician 4 for a rotational OCONUS program based in Palmdale, CA.

Responsibilities
  • Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair avionics systems wiring in aircraft in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations.
  • Fabricate, install, and test installation, routing, clamping and wiring harnesses.
  • Read wiring diagrams and blueprints.
  • Operate specialty vehicles.
  • Perform work in an approved environment during specified work hours.
  • Understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines.
  • Relay and receive information.
  • Be subject to a variety of physical conditions and a complete understanding of aviation and aerospace technical data.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) and 6 years of relevant experience in the aviation or aerospace industry.
  • Must have an active DoD Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled in Continuous Evaluation).
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by business needs.
  • Must be able to meet medical requirements for worldwide travel.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. passport.
  • Willingness to accept customer furnished quarters for up to 180 days away from primary work location.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, weekends, and on‑call status (24/7/365) as required by business needs.

Salary and Benefits

Primary level salary range: $79,100.00 – $. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company‑paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
