Opened in 2010, Palmdale Regional Medical Center is a 184-bed acute care hospital located in Palmdale, CA. It is one of Southern California’s newest hospitals, featuring all‑private patient rooms, and provides high‑quality, award‑winning patient care to residents and visitors of the Antelope Valley and surrounding areas. The hospital is active in the community, regularly participates with the Antelope Valley Board of Trade/Greater Antelope Valley Economic Alliance (now AV Edge), and supports nonprofit agencies and other healthcare related organizations.

Palmdale Regional recently joined the Southwest Healthcare brand, a comprehensive network incorporating five hospitals and multiple ambulatory locations across southern California. Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) is the parent company, operating 28 acute care hospitals and more across the US and other regions.

Under the direction of the Department Manager, Registered Nurse, and/or Charge Nurse, the Licensed Vocational Nurse is responsible for providing nursing care for patients and is guided by the policies and procedures of the Nursing department and the hospital. The role utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate direct and indirect nursing care of the critically ill patient.

The LPN/LVN follows the California Vocational Nurse Practice Act.

• 1‑year previous experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Graduate of an approved/accredited Vocational School of Nursing.
• Current Vocational Nurse licensure in the State of California.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) training for health care providers.
• CPI certification required within 30 days of hire.
