Responsibilities
Serve and safeguard all the hospital customers. Be responsible for the surveillance of the hospital premises and the protection of the staff, members, and visitors. The Security Officer is responsible for detecting and preventing any suspicious activity, observing and reporting incidents, and providing customer service in a friendly and professional manner. Patrol buildings and grounds of the hospital to prevent fires, theft, and vandalism.
Inspect doors, windows, and locks to determine the level of security. Ensure only authorized personnel are admitted onto hospital premises. Maintain current information in lost and found logs. Write incident reports and document investigatory steps and results.
Qualifications
- Two years of experience in the field of law enforcement and/or security or equivalent (preferred)
- High School Graduate/Equivalent preferred.
- Written and verbal communications, interpersonal skills.
- Basic organizational and computer skills.
- Current Guard Card required
- Assaultive Behavior Management certification (CPI) required within 30 days of hire
- Current CA driver license required
