• Ongoing supplemental need with both inpatient and outpatient exposure
• Balanced clinic, cath lab, and call responsibilities
• Well-supported cardiology service with APPs and experienced nursing staff
Assignment Details
• Start ASAP with ongoing coverage
• Scheduled clinical hours plus call
• Inpatient and outpatient practice setting
• Admissions required
• Rounding on assigned and unassigned patients
• Average patient volume of approximately 15 per shift
Clinical Details
• Interventional cardiology coverage including clinic, inpatient consults, and procedures
• Call coverage via beeper with a 30-minute response time
• Call distribution averages 50% with limited callbacks
• Typical call activity includes phone consults and occasional admissions
• EMR systems are Cerner and Athena
• Support includes RNs, MAs, APPs, and office staff
Requirements
• Board eligible or board certified in interventional cardiology
• Active Alaska medical license required
• ABLS, ACLS, and BLS required
• Fellowship training in interventional cardiology
• Comfort supervising advanced practice providers
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 30 days
