Barista​/Food Service Worker

Hatcher Alpine Xperience is a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt organization developing Skeetawk, a new alpine ski, snowboard, and recreation facility in Hatcher Pass (Palmer), Alaska. We are hiring Guest Services and Yurt Staff to conduct daily guest service operations, including:

• Must be 21+
• Possess an Alaska Food Worker Card or the ability to obtain one immediately upon hiring.
• TAPS Card or the ability to obtain immediately upon hiring.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to maintain focus on professional customer service and guest safety during busy operating periods.
• Ability to develop and enforce daily opening, closing, and set-up procedures.
• Ability to responsibly manage sales transactions, cash handling, and till accounting.
• Ability to work safely outdoors in cold climates for short periods of time.
• Ability to follow food and beverage service best practices, including food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to consistently uphold high standards in food and beverage preparation and presentation.
• Ability to work independently for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

• 5+ years of experience in the food and beverage industry, or general customer service industry employment.
• Previous experience with the setup of point-of-sale systems, customer record keeping, and computer systems is preferred.

• Oversee all Barista/Food Service operations, including but not limited to: food and beverage sales, merchandise sales, providing customer information, cleaning, and daily sanitation of facilities.
• Inventory and ordering of all merchandise and food/beverage products.

This is a full-time seasonal position with an average of 30-40 hours per week during the operating season. The regular schedule is Thursday through Monday and all MSBSD holidays. All food and beverage service employees must have a valid TAPS card, a Food Handler's card, be at least 21 years of age, and be able to pass a background check.
