New Horizons Operations Department is now under new management and seeking qualified Tower Technicians.

Job Summary

As a Tower Technician within the Operations Department, you'll play a vital role in our operations. Your responsibilities include daily team coordination, a safety-first mindset, organization, and training to ensure alignment with company objectives and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Climb, repair, maintain, and build communication towers.
  • Installation, replacement, and repair of antenna systems equipment.
  • Basic use and care of hand tools and mechanical equipment.
  • Identify and communicate hazards associated with:
    • Tower Climbing and Construction equipment
    • Working on or near energized lines and electrical equipment
  • Analyze problematic situations and adopt an appropriate course of action.
  • Follow instructions accurately and complete tasks as assigned.
  • Recognize safety hazards and safely perform duties.
  • Perform job duties in all weather conditions.
  • Complete and submit Daily Reports and JSA (Job Safety Analysis) before each day's work.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Possess a valid driver's license (CDL preferred) and be able to pass the Motor Vehicle Records check, drug screening, and background check.
  • Climb tall structures (100 feet or more) with a 50 lb. load.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Maintain a consistent level of excellence in job performance and work ethic.
  • Proficient in computer use.
  • Travel for extended periods up to and including Overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Certifications
  • Preferred OSHA 10 and or OSHA 30
  • Preferred BLS/ Wilderness First Aid
  • Union-based pay scale depending on experience
