We are seeking a dynamic Administrative Assistant to support our executive director in delivering exceptional service to our members. The role requires a proactive professional who excels at managing multiple priorities while maintaining superior attention to detail. This is a part time flexible role. This position offers great variety and the opportunity to work from your own office. A successful candidate will have experience working within a non‑profit/committee setting and must have strong computer, organizational and communication skills.
Preference will be given to individuals with experience in the nursery, greenhouse and/or landscape industry and who have strong social media skills.
- Salary range
$25,000 +/- dependent on skill level & time commitment. This is an independent contractor/project‑based position (average of 12 to 15 hours a week). Pay based on experience
Physical Requirements of this position:
- Keyboarding, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, climbing, balancing hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
- Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
- This position may be subjected to environmental conditions and atmospheric conditions, including: dusts, odors, fumes, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, and intense noises.
- Close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; entering data; viewing a computer screen; and/or extensive reading.
- Ability to travel for MNLA events with occasional overnight lodging.
