This leadership role oversees a team of four and is responsible for managing financial reporting, internal controls, tax compliance, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and can balance both strategic and operational responsibilities.

• Lead month‑end and year‑end close, financial reporting, and audits while ensuring GAAP compliance.
• Oversee Payroll, Accounts Payable, and general accounting operations, improving accuracy and efficiency.
• Strengthen internal controls, assess risk, and implement process improvements across the department.
• Partner with the CFO on forecasting, financial modeling, and business data analysis.
• Manage federal and state tax filings, reconcile financial data, and ensure accuracy in all reports.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to support system implementations and business initiatives.
• Provide mentorship, guidance, and accountability for a team of four accounting professionals.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or advanced certification strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of finance experience, including 5+ years in a leadership or public accounting role.
• Proven experience managing accounting operations and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and time management skills with a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.

This is a high‑visibility opportunity to lead the financial operations of a respected organization. The role offers a competitive salary between $110,000 and $140,000 depending on experience, along with the ability to drive meaningful process improvements and mentor a dedicated accounting team.
