The Classical Guitar Teacher position focuses on delivering high‑quality on‑site lessons, supporting student development, and collaborating with a dedicated faculty and administrative staff.
Responsibilities- Teach classical guitar lessons on‑site, scheduling lessons through the school app/website.
- Prepare students for performances, exams, and recitals.
- Communicate with students and parents, designing personalized lesson plans that cater to independent goals.
- Adhere to school attendance policies and manage teaching schedule independently.
- Participate in faculty recitals and performance opportunities (at least three times per year).
- U.S. legal status to work; visa sponsorship available for qualified candidates.
- Bachelor’s degree in music (MM/MA, DM/PhD degrees preferred).
- Live in the Bay Area with reliable transportation to Mountain View/Palo Alto.
- Experience teaching and performing guitar.
- Exceptional communication skills with students and parents.
- Willingness to design personalized lesson plans and adapt to new teaching environments.
- Experience preparing students for performances and exams.
- Knowledge of ABRSM Practical and Theory Exams (or willingness to learn).
- English proficiency.
- Preferred teaching windows: weekday 2:30‑9 pm, weekend 9 am‑7 pm.
- Ideal candidates can teach 6 consecutive hours/day, at least 3 days/week (full‑time preferred).
- Full‑time staff handles all administrative work.
