What to Expect

Tesla's mission is to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy. Our Industrial Energy division plays a critical role in achieving this by delivering innovative energy storage and software solutions to commercial, industrial, and utility-scale customers worldwide. Our software offerings optimize energy storage performance, enable grid services, and empower customers to reduce costs and emissions—helping reshape the future of energy.

We're seeking a Product Content Manager with deep knowledge of energy software and strong background in software marketing, including market bidding platforms, energy management systems (EMS), and grid-interactive controls for large-scale batteries and hybrid power plants. This role will focus on driving content for Tesla's energy management software platform used with Powerpack, Megapack, and integrated microgrid solutions.

As a key team member, you will shape how Tesla's industrial software suite is perceived in the market—developing compelling messaging, content, and go-to-market strategies that speak directly to utility, commercial, and industrial energy stakeholders.

You will partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Global Marketing to position Tesla's software as a market-leading solution for asset optimization and grid services across the project and customer lifecycle. A strong grasp of the evolving energy market landscape, particularly as it relates to renewables, distributed energy resources, and system flexibility, is essential.

What You'll Do
  • Lead product marketing strategy for Tesla's industrial software suite, focusing on grid-scale battery storage, EMS, and automated market participation.

  • Craft differentiated messaging around software capabilities such as real-time dispatch optimization, market bidding integration, plant-level controls, and virtual power plant systems.

  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Operational teams to translate highly technical features into customer-facing value propositions.

  • Support go-to-market planning for new software features, regional market entry strategies, and cross-functional launch initiatives.

  • Collaborate with regional Sales and Business Development to create localized collateral and content tailored to key market structures and regulations (e.g., capacity markets, balancing markets, ancillary services).

  • Analyze customer, competitive, and regulatory landscapes to guide messaging and prioritize product marketing activities.

  • Develop and manage a suite of sales enablement tools, including pitch decks, brochures, case studies, videos, and demo assets.

  • Partner with Global Growth & Content teams to maintain consistent branding while tailoring campaigns for global audiences.

  • Measure and report on the performance of marketing initiatives, including influence on sales pipeline, customer engagement, and market adoption.

What You'll Bring
  • Degree in an engineering discipline strongly preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in B2B product marketing, with a strong background in the energy and renewables industry, including solar, wind, distributed energy resources (DERs).
  • 5+ years of experience in software, controls, or energy platforms, with deep understanding of energy storage systems (ESS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), market bidding and optimization tools such as Autobidder, SCADA/DCS, or hybrid power plant controls.
  • Experience working within highly regulated industries (e.g., energy, healthcare) with a strong understanding of how compliance and policy frameworks shape product positioning and go‑to‑market strategies.
  • Familiarity with key U.S. and international energy markets and programs.
  • Deep passion for changing the way we use energy on the electric grid.
  • Proven experience developing marketing materials for complex software platforms or operational technologies to influence technical and executive audiences.
  • Intellectual curiosity and engineering mindset. Eager to dive deep into the technical details of complex energy solutions and translate them into clear value propositions for customers.
  • Ability to balance foundational work with rapid execution: building core narratives, playbooks, and…
