What To ExpectSupport & coordinate daily work activities ensuring high quality/safe operations in Robotics Engineering pilot team. The Engineering Technician is responsible to validate new designs for manufacturability, support new product launch schedules and maintain continuity of operations in prototype shop or newly developed work cells, consistently working to optimize process efficiency from beta builds through ramp up of robotics production.
What You’ll Do- Work with Engineers to fabricate, assemble, and integrate mobile robot prototypes, including mechanical assemblies, electrical systems, etc.
- Collaborate with Engineering teams to root cause and resolve mechanical hardware, electrical, software issues and provide detailed written & verbal test status updates to key stakeholders.
- Validate design and processes while documenting issues & improvements for the broader project.
- Identify concerns, assess risk, and provide creative countermeasures.
- Apply analytical problem‑solving skills & FA root cause analysis, troubleshooting.
- Create and validate processes/equipment that solve for safety/ergonomics, manufacturability, quality, production rate, cost efficiency.
- Oversee the ins and out of your group, understand robotics stacking order.
- Perform standardized work for all stations with quality and within Takt.
- Evaluate new parts and provide feedback to design on how to improve.
- Experience as an Engineering Technician in fields of:
Robotics, Automotive, precision medical devices, R&D, and Manufacturing, etc. - Experience in Manufacturing or factory line operations.
- Previous hands‑on experience with hand and power tools, high & low voltage systems.
- Practical working knowledge of process sheets.
- Must be shift flexible w/high commitment & ability to work variable schedule including daily/weekend overtime as needed.
- Ability to repeat physical/mental activities, accuracy of work, including responsible time management & prioritization skills.
- Problem‑solving skills that include root cause analysis, implementing countermeasures and following up to ensure effectiveness and a demonstrated open mind.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead meetings and speak in front of groups.
- Experience with and/or ability to learn key systems/programs such as Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, Enovia/Catia/Delmia, Confluence, Jira, FX and many other sub‑systems.
- Able to interpret drawings and 3D CAD, and able to read mechanical drawings. Experience in CAD (ex. CATIA, Solid Works) and/or electrical design (ex. Altium). Fabrication/machining, 3D printing is a plus.

$24.40 - $50.40/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
