Our mission is to inspire everyone to ride ALSO—replacing many car, truck, and SUV trips with small, efficient, and joyful EVs that are 10–50x more energy efficient. We’re a passionate team of builders, dreamers, and innovators, creating vertically integrated light electric vehicles designed to meet the global mobility challenges of today and tomorrow.

Based in the heart of Silicon Valley, we’ve brought together leaders from technology, automotive, cycling, outdoor recreation, and retail to reimagine how the world moves.

The Role

We are seeking a Vehicle Product Design Architecture, Integration Lead to own the top-level CAD assembly of a new four-wheeled light EV platform. This role emphasizes occupant packaging, ergonomics, and the seamless integration of major vehicle subsystems. You will drive cross-functional alignment, ensure system-level design integrity, and help transition our vehicles from prototype to production.

What You’ll Do
  • Own and manage top-level CAD assemblies, with emphasis on packaging, ergonomics, and subsystem integration.
  • Apply structural engineering fundamentals (beams, columns, panels) to vehicle body design and manufacturing methods.
  • Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and industrial design teams to resolve packaging and interface issues.
  • Lead integration reviews, clash detection, and design trade-offs to balance performance, manufacturability, and ergonomics.
  • Drive structured workflows and integration processes in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Support documentation and coordination with manufacturing and supply chain for prototype-to-production transitions.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in mechanical design and vehicle system integration (automotive, ATV, UTV, or similar).
  • Expertise in 3D CAD (CATIA preferred), with a track record managing complex top-level assemblies.
  • Proficiency with PLM systems, BOM management, and engineering release workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate major subsystems while balancing requirements of A-class surfaces.
  • Strong grasp of vehicle packaging and multi-domain design trade-offs.
  • Experience leading cross-functional integration through launch of complex platforms.
Why ALSO

At ALSO, you’ll play a central role in shaping how the world moves. Our vehicles are designed to be more efficient, accessible, and enjoyable—helping people everywhere find a better way to get where they need to go.

Perks and Benefits
  • $250,000 – $291,000 salary, based on experience
  • Excellent health, dental, and vision insurance (up to 100% employer-covered)
  • One Medical membership and dedicated insurance advocates
