We’re ALSO, an electric mobility company originally conceived as a part of Rivian. We’re a passionate team of builders, dreamers, doers and innovators, focused on creating entirely new (not to mention, innovative and delightful) vertically integrated, small EVs designed to meet the global mobility challenges of today and tomorrow. Our mission is to inspire everyone to ride ALSO—replacing many local car, truck and SUV miles with ones on vehicles that are more affordable, more enjoyable and 10-50x more efficient.

ALSO is seeking a Staff Global Supply Manager to drive sourcing execution and operational readiness for our Electromechanical category focused on Controls and Display
, including electronic hardware, PCBAs, sensors, and interface displays. This U.S.

-based role serves as the key interface between engineering, finance, design, program management, and Asia-based Global Supply Managers (GSMs), ensuring tight feedback loops and disciplined program execution. Leveraging deep GSM experience, you will align cross-functional teams on cost, schedule, supplier readiness, and risk, enabling rapid, data-driven decision-making across complex global supply chains

What You Will Do
  • Own operational delivery for the Controls and Display category, ensuring cost targets, schedules, quality, and continuity of supply are met

  • Coordinate with Asia-based GSMs to execute sourcing strategies, including RFIs, DFMs, and RFQs, aligned with NPI and production milestones

  • Manage supplier readiness and execution, proactively identifying, escalating, and resolving risks related to capacity, cost, quality, or lead time

  • Consolidate sourcing status, cost positions, and schedule impacts into clear leadership and executive reporting

  • Partner closely with U.S.

-based engineering, design, finance, and manufacturing teams to translate technical and commercial requirements into actionable sourcing directives

  • Enable rapid decision-making by clearly communicating trade-offs, risks, and mitigation plans

  • Align with Technical Program Managers, Engineering Program Managers, and Operations leads to ensure integrated program execution

  • Support and participate in supplier negotiations and contract reviews (e.g., NDAs, purchase agreements, SOWs) to secure favorable commercial terms

  • Participate in supplier and manufacturing site reviews to address critical technical, quality, or commercial topics

  • Maintain awareness of preferred vendors and approved suppliers, ensuring capabilities align with program needs

  • Travel 25–30% domestically and internationally to supplier sites, manufacturing locations, and Asia-based operations offices

What You Will Bring
  • 5+ years of supply chain, sourcing, or operations experience, including 3+ years as a Global Supply Manager or equivalent

  • Proven expertise in supplier negotiations, cost management, and contract execution

  • Strong experience with RFQ, RFI, and DFM processes, including executive-level presentations

  • Demonstrated ability to manage electronics or electromechanical supply chains, including PCBAs, controls, displays, sensors, or related components

  • Familiarity with NPI supply chain execution and manufacturing readiness

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to operate across multiple time zones and cultures

  • Effective communicator with a track record of building strong relationships across engineering, operations, and supplier teams

  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, consumer electronics, or other high-tech manufacturing environments

  • Strong background in supply chain management, sourcing, or mechanical engineering (BSME/MSME often preferred)

  • Proven negotiation, program management, and communication skills in multinational environments

  • Expertise in costing, financial analysis, and contract management

Preferred
  • Deep category experience in PCBAs, electromechanical assemblies, electronic components, controls, or display technologies

  • Professional certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent

The salary for this position ranges from $130,000 - $170,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
