Internship, Electronic Design Engineer, Radio Frequency; Winter

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Work with the Antenna team on design, integration, testing, and production of antenna solutions to enhance wireless connectivity in Tesla vehicles.
• Collaborate with the Audio Software team to integrate and improve audio system quality from transducers to software.
• Support the EMC team in product design, simulation, debugging, and testing for electromagnetic compatibility, working closely with Electrical, Mechanical, vehicle integration, harness, and homologation teams.
• Contribute to Radio Turner product development, including architecture, hardware, software, and functionality.
• Assist the Audio Engineering team in designing and testing electrical audio systems, conducting acoustic simulations, and evaluating sound quality and speech intelligibility.
• Participate with the Wireless Hardware team in designing, developing, and testing hardware systems for vehicle-user communication technologies such as UWB, WiFi, and Bluetooth.

The company is looking for candidates who have:

• Current enrollment in a degree program related to Electromagnetics, Radio Frequency Engineering, Antenna Design, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or related fields.
• Strong skills in Python/numpy, MATLAB, C/C++, or equivalent tools for modeling and analysis.
• Experience with radio frequency, analog, and digital circuit design.
• Experience with PCB design and component selection.
• Familiarity with test and measurement equipment for radio frequency such as spectrum analyzers, Vector Network Analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and arbitrary waveform generators.
• Knowledge of EM 3D design tools is a plus.
• Basic understanding of acoustics and acoustic measurement best practices.
• Understanding of digital signal processing principles including digital audio format filtering.
• Skills in data analysis, report writing, and presentations.

Expected compensation ranges from $20.00 to $50.00 per hour plus benefits, varying based on location, knowledge, skills, and experience.
