Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a skilled nursing facility team on a contract basis. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help residents improve functional independence, mobility, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
  • Provide therapeutic interventions in accordance with established care plans
  • Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient outcomes
  • Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, techniques, and adaptive strategies
  • Maintain compliance with facility policies and professional standards

Qualifications

  • Active California COTA license (required)
  • Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred
  • New graduates welcome to apply
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative care team

Additional Information

  • Contract opportunity with guaranteed weekly hours
  • EMR system experience preferred
  • No holiday coverage required
