About the Firm

Modern Family Law, a rapidly expanding national law firm specializing in Family Law, is seeking 3

Ls graduating in December and sitting for the February 2026 Bar exam, or graduating in May and sitting for the July 2026 Bar exam, to become Post‑Bar Law Clerks/Associates in California. This role is hybrid, but you must sit for the Bar, and plan to reside, in the state you are applying to.

Program Details

Post‑Bar Law Clerks at Modern Family Law will join the firm after sitting for the Bar exam, and receive training and mentorship from our devoted Learning & Development team in preparation for their transition to an Associate Attorney after successful passage of the bar.

Responsibilities
  • Thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment while managing multiple responsibilities with attention to detail.
  • Participate in initial client consultations.

  • Learn how to manage your cases from start to finish and represent your clients as the first chair on cases upon licensure.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctor from an ABA‑accredited law school completed by June 2026.
  • First‑time to sit for the Bar exam and register for the February 2026 OR July 2026 Bar exam.
  • Attain a passing score on the MPRE prior to sitting for the Bar exam.
  • Submission and approval of Character & Fitness application by the State Bar.
  • Experience in Family Law Clinics is a plus.
  • Mock Trial experience is a plus.
  • Submission of cover letter, law school transcript, responses to candidate questionnaire, and references.

Additional Compensation Details

This salary is a reasonably reliable estimate that this individual is expected to receive. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, billable hour expectations, and other job‑related factors permitted by law. Full‑time employees will be eligible for a health insurance with an optional HSA, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401K, vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program.
