Stanford Health Care is seeking a Nurse Coordinator (RN) to support the Neurology Clinic role is full‑time, day shift, 08 hours per day.
Job OverviewThe Nurse Coordinator provides coordination and care for patients requiring assistance in accessing and managing their healthcare needs. As an integral member of the care team, they collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and coordination of a wide variety of patient care services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide age‑specific, quality, patient‑centered care using the nursing process and standards of practice.
- Expedite appropriate care and treatment, using critical reasoning and astute clinical judgment for complex or life‑threatening conditions.
- Assess, triage, and provide nursing consultation, perform follow‑up and care coordination in face‑to‑face encounters or through telecommunication technologies.
- Apply appropriate nursing interventions including health education, patient advocacy, coordination of services, and outcome evaluation.
- Focus on patient safety and quality of care during each encounter.
- Interact with patients in person or virtually, establishing long‑term relationships.
- Collaborate with inpatient and other clinic staff to develop educational materials appropriate for patient populations.
- Demonstrate leadership, promote team building, and participate in staff development.
- Efficiently manage time, complete written reports and projects within appropriate time frames.
- Continuously pursue lifelong learning to update knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Utilize performance improvement methodology to design data collection systems and identify opportunities to improve care.
- Other duties as assigned, including on‑call responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college/university.
- Two (2) years of progressively responsible, directly related registered nurse (RN) work experience.
- Knowledge in specialty nursing practice, computer systems, and current nursing theories and standards.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, critical thinking, and teaching skills.
- Ability to apply the professional nursing code of ethics and professional guidelines to clinical practice.
- Ability to integrate patient care with interdisciplinary team members and guide non‑licensed staff.
- CA‑RN (Registered Nurse)
- BLS – Basic Life Support
- Provide patient education, coordinate care, and support patients/families in navigating the healthcare system.
- Implement nursing interventions to promote health, safety, and optimal outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with the clinical team to improve service quality and efficiency.

CompensationBase pay scale: approximately $74.73–$99.04 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
