• Company Introduction: Our company operates in the fintech sector, and our core business relies on a secure and stable network infrastructure. We have a growing team and an expanding digital footprint.
• The Challenge: We have recently identified several security vulnerabilities in our network and a number of misconfigured firewall rules that could lead to unauthorized access and data breaches. Our current firewall rules are complex and lack clear documentation, making them difficult to manage and audit.
• Objective: The main objective is to perform a thorough audit of our current network configuration and firewall rules, implement necessary changes to enhance security, and create a clear documentation and a new policy for future maintenance.

Detailed Job Description & Responsibilities

Core Tasks:

• Conduct a full security assessment of our network infrastructure.
• Review and analyze all existing firewall rules (Cisco ASA/Palo Alto).
• Identify, remove, and consolidate obsolete or redundant rules.
• Implement new, hardened firewall rulesets based on a zero-trust model.
• Configure and optimize VPN access for remote employees to ensure secure connections.
• Set up and configure a centralized logging system for all network traffic and security events.
• Provide expert recommendations for future network security improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Expertise:

• Proven experience with Cisco ASA and/or Palo Alto firewall management.
• Expert-level knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, and routing.
• Experience with VPN configuration and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with network monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark).
• Strong understanding of network security best practices and attack vectors.

Soft Skills:

• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Clear and concise communication skills for documentation and reporting.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
• A detailed report of the network security audit findings.
• A new, optimized, and documented set of firewall rules.
