PMC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with experience in high-end home maintenance to support our Service and Maintenance team. Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, this individual will work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively with team members, adapting to the needs of each assignment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: responding to maintenance service requests, performing small repair projects, diagnosing issues, coordinating work performed by subcontractors, conducting hands‑on technical troubleshooting, and prioritizing and scheduling repair tasks.
RoleResponsibilities
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks in client homes
- Handle basic repairs; diagnose mechanical issues and correct them; repair machines, equipment, or structures as necessary
- Use clear and concise communication verbally with managers, subs, & clients
- Ability to procure necessary materials to complete projects/maintenance work
- Using electronic devices such as cell phones, iPad, communicate with other members of the team, and document details for maintenance work in client database
- Complete detailed daily time sheets by job using ‘Fieldtime App'
- Itemize and submit receipts by job and scope
- Keep a clean and organized work area whenever performing work in a client home/property, cleaning up after oneself following a job
- Assist the Lead Maintenance Foreman as needed
- Well‑developed common sense, ideally with a natural ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Organized and able to anticipate what needs to be done to complete work efficiently
- Excellent overall communication skills: listening, speaking, and writing
- Ability to work independently, but able to take direction from leads/supervisors
- Awareness of surrounding work areas
- Collaborative attitude and team spirit
- Decisive but not afraid to ask for help when needed
- Dedicated to putting in the time to complete routine tasks thoroughly and properly
- Patience and a sense of humor are always a plus
- Flexible and adaptable, with an understanding that Service and Maintenance schedules and needs can be unpredictable at times
- Motivated and committed to learning new skills and expanding abilities
- Clean and professional appearance
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Physical ability to work indoors and outdoors; sit, stand, reach, twist, turn, kneel, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, lift, carry, and push tools, equipment and supplies weighing 25 pounds or more
- Climb ladders
- Own tools commonly used in finish carpentry and home maintenance
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of combined finish carpentry and maintenance experience, preferably in hi‑end residential construction
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and vehicle with proof of insurance
