The Facility Engineer maintains, repairs, and supports building systems at a luxury retail store. The role includes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, safety inspections, and support for energy management and capital projects.
Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance and document safety inspections on building equipment and systems.
- Inspect and troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC, generator, boiler, lighting, and vertical transportation systems.
- Order maintenance supplies and assist with expense management and capital planning.
- Maintain or coordinate building energy management systems and support store technology and kitchen equipment as needed.
- Respond to after-hours emergencies and work overtime when required.
- Vocational school or college training in a mechanical or electrical field.
- Two to five years of relevant experience, four years of apprenticeship, or equivalent experience.
- Background in building maintenance, electrical systems, and HVAC.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently and collaboratively, communicate effectively, and understand Safety Data Sheets.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, reach, and climb ladders.
