Salary: $200k + Equity My client is a leading defense tech company who is looking to expand their team based out of Palo Alto. This role is a hybrid position with an expectation of you being on site 2-3 days per week. You must have a minimum secret clearance to be considered for this position. The following skills and experience are needed:
Hold a minimum secret clearance Strong experience with Elasticsearch
Programming experience in Java - however C++ or Python can be considered Extensive experience building and evolving performant search and indexing systems, particularly for granularly permissioned or complex data structures.
Proficiency in designing and implementing tools for cluster deployment, operations, and lifecycle management.
Strong knowledge of observability, telemetry, and diagnostic tools for monitoring Elasticsearch clusters and ensuring system reliability.
Hands-on experience leading major version upgrades, implementing CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) remediation strategies, and maintaining secure environments.
Proven expertise in analyzing and optimizing usage patterns to enhance Elasticsearch stability and performance.
Familiarity with standardizing and improving Elasticsearch client libraries across multiple platforms and languages.
Experience in developing robust disaster recovery solutions for distributed systems.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Database Operations, to support production systems effectively.
Skilled in providing Level 2 (L2) and Level 3 (L3) support for resolving complex Elasticsearch issues.
Strong troubleshooting skills, with experience conducting root cause analyses and implementing long-term solutions for critical system problems.
Knowledge of defining, documenting, and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for recurring issues.
