We’re looking for a Principal Engineer to join our growing Storefront team. In this role, you will lead business‑critical, end‑to‑end initiatives that power Quince's discovery and recommendation experiences, delivering highly scalable, user‑facing systems that elevate how customers find and engage with our products.

Success in this position means consistently exercising high judgement, solving complex business and technical challenges with clarity and speed, and building data‑driven, user‑centric solutions. This role plays a critical part in advancing both our team's goals and Quince's broader mission of delivering exceptional value to our customers.

Lead end‑to‑end development for discovery and recommendation systems in collaboration with product, design, data science, and engineering teams.

Collaborate across teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

Participate in project planning and estimation to ensure deadlines and milestones are met.

Define and refine software requirements and convert them into actionable development tasks.

Establish key performance metrics and drive data‑informed decision‑making.

Mentor and train senior team members to strengthen technical and leadership capabilities.

Champion a strong code‑review culture; contribute to architecture and performance improvements.

Drive alignment with leadership, peers, and cross‑functional partners to advance initiatives.

Required:

10+ years of experience in full‑stack web development.

• Experience building and maintaining highly reliable distributed web applications that operate at a high scale.

Knowledge of design principles, the fundamentals of architecture, quality processes, and estimation techniques.

• Experience with A/B testing frameworks and data‑driven experimentation.
• You are an advocate for maintaining the highest standards in terms of code quality, latency, and observability.
