Role Summary

We are building an exciting new software defined vehicle architecture and looking for talented and motivated engineers to join our team. Come help shape the future of automotive by contributing to one of the most advanced platforms in the industry. More specifically our team is building a modern, multilingual, messaging framework and we are looking for someone with strong Kotlin experience to help grow our team’s capabilities.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is eager to learn, and enjoys collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and implementation of embedded applications in Kotlin.
• Maintenance and problem solving of existing Kotlin applications.
• Support teams integrating with our libraries and applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize, allocate, and plan project milestones.
• Experience leading architecture discussions and driving decisions on technical direction.
• Proven ability to mentor and guide junior developers, providing code reviews and constructive feedback.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Adept at Kotlin best practices and paradigms.
• Experience with the Android Soong/Bazel build system and package management.
• Proficiency with testing frameworks such as JUnit, MockK.
• Proficient in asynchronous programming and handling concurrency effectively in Kotlin.
• Strong Git skills.
• Android and AOSP experience.
• Gitlab CI experience (If not Gitlab another major CI, i.e. Git Hub, Jenkins).
• Proficient with Linux.

Bonus Skills

• Arm
  64 (OSX/embedded) cross compiling experience.
• Experience with messaging systems such as MQTT, and especially NATS.

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: 146, USD (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
