Sr. Software Engineer - Backend​/Cloud

In this role, you will be part of the Cloud Connectivity team, responsible for architecting and building highly scalable, robust and efficient end to end cloud solutions, for both internal and user facing vehicle applications, that orchestrate connectivity configuration, onboarding and diagnostics, optimize global connectivity costs, surface various vehicle connectivity insights & anomalies and bring new features to our users.

• Work autonomously, taking ownership of decision‑making
• Excellent troubleshooting & testing skills
• Active involvement in architecture discussions and influencing decisions on technical direction
• Develop server‑side applications leveraging AWS services, including Lambda, Dynamo
  
  DB, S3, API Gateway, Cloud Formation
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for seamless build, test, and deployment processes.
• Contribute to development and delivery of complex services, addressing scalability, performance, high availability, maintainability, and observability.
• Effectively collaborate across cross‑functional teams & stakeholders to understand business requirements.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code following best practices.
• Monitor and optimize application performance, availability, and cost on AWS infrastructure.
• Identify and resolve critical production issues, establish runbooks, and document root cause analysis.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of backend microservices, and APIs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience, Preferred)
• 5+ years of experience with full‑stack software development
• Knowledge and experience with JavaScript/Type Script, Python or Java
• Proficiency in backend development using Kubernetes and AWS services: AWS Lambda, S3, API Gateway, Cloud Watch, Cloud Formation, Dynamo
  
  DB etc
• Proficiency in RESTful API design and development.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices.
• Experience working in Agile teams and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced and dynamic development environment.
• Good to have: familiarity with Golang, protobuf & middleware like gRPC, MQTT and NATs

Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $146,900 - $183,600 USD (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
