Role SummaryWe’re looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our growing Test and Validation team within the Camera, Computer Vision, Imaging, and AI division. In this role, you will drive critical testing and validation efforts across advanced camera systems, computer vision pipelines, GenAI model deployment, and embedded systems for our next-generation automotive solutions. Your expertise in low‑level system profiling, firmware integration, and performance testing will directly impact the success of our products as we partner with multiple OEMs in the automotive sector.

Responsibilities- Low‑Level System Profiling and Performance Testing and conduct comprehensive system profiling on embedded hardware components, including firmware and image signal processors, to identify performance bottlenecks, ensure thermal efficiency, and validate system stability under real‑world automotive conditions.
- Test firmware and hardware integration to ensure seamless functionality across different camera models and embedded systems configurations.
- Execute long‑duration and stress tests under various conditions to identify potential weaknesses in system stability and performance.
- Work closely with hardware and firmware engineers to understand system‑level requirements and ensure hardware‑software compatibility.
- Develop and execute HIL test setups to simulate real‑world automotive conditions, validating camera system interactions within an emulated hardware environment to catch issues before deployment. Also implement SIL testing for embedded software and AI models to ensure robustness and compatibility before hardware integration.
- Test system behavior under simulated conditions to identify and resolve issues early in the development cycle.
- Validate the deployment and integration of AI models within firmware, ensuring compatibility, accuracy, and stability across different camera hardware configurations and OEM specification.
- Test and validate GenAI and computer vision models, ensuring accuracy, latency, and robustness across diverse environmental conditions, such as low light and high‑motion scenarios.
- Develop and execute test cases for model training, deployment, and edge case handling.
- Write test automation scripts to automate unit, functional, stress and end to end testing.
- 5+ years of experience in software or embedded systems testing, with a focus on camera systems, computer vision, or low‑level firmware.
- Proficiency in embedded systems testing, including firmware, hardware interaction, and low‑level performance profiling.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks and tools commonly used in embedded and AI testing environments.
- Experience with hardware‑software integration testing and knowledge of embedded software debugging.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
- Experience with performance and thermal profiling tools tailored to embedded systems.
- Ability to translate OEM specifications into detailed test plans and validation procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross‑functionally and collaborate with OEM partners to understand and meet their testing requirements.
- Background in the automotive industry or experience with safety‑critical systems.
