- Collect dirty towels from the locker room, wash and dry them using laundry facilities, and deliver clean towels back to the locker room.
- Adhere to safety rules and protocols at all times.
- Requisition supplies, uniforms, and equipment as needed.
- Issue equipment items, check them in, and maintain records of issuance.
- Check equipment and uniforms for needed repairs and either perform or arrange for these repairs.
- Maintain an organized inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Assign, maintain, and check lockers.
- Retrieve equipment and manage charges for lost items.
- Assist in fitting team members with proper‑size uniforms and equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to work in an athletic setting and provide courteous and helpful service as outlined above.
- Must possess and maintain a valid California non-commercial Class C Driver’s License.
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, twist, bend, stoop, squat, grasp forcefully, and lift/carry/pull/push objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently perform desk‑based computer tasks and sort/file paperwork/parts or equipment.
- Occasionally perform seated work and lift/carry/push/pull objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Occasionally use a telephone and write by hand.
- Ability to drive day & night.
- May be required to work overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Exposure to laundry chemicals and noises greater than 80db TWA.
- Promote and maintain the integrity and reputation of Stanford University and its intercollegiate athletics program.
- Comply with University policies and procedures, laws, and NCAA and Atlantic Coast Conference rules and regulations.
- When conducting university business, must comply with the California Vehicle Code and Stanford University driving requirements.
- Demonstrate interpersonal skills to work well with Stanford colleagues and external organizations.
- Commit to personal responsibility and safety; communicate safety concerns and promote safe behaviors.
This position, along with all DAPER coaches and staff, is responsible for the integrity of Stanford’s intercollegiate athletics program and for the reputation of Stanford University. This position is responsible for ensuring that his/her/their involvement with Athletics Department activities maintains the integrity of the University’s reputation and does not negatively impact the relationship between the University and its faculty, staff, students and alumni.
Additionally, this position must comply with University policies and procedures, NCAA and ACC rules and regulations.
