Environmental Services Technician

Overview

We are seeking an Environmental Services Technician (EVS Tech or Environmental Aide). The EVS Tech ensures a safe and healthy environment by cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to prevent infection. Responsibilities include waste disposal, restocking supplies, maintaining floors and surfaces, and responding to urgent cleaning needs. This position is per diem (PD/PRN as needed).

Shift availability: Varied

Location: Pampa Regional Medical Center, Pampa, TX

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to prevent the spread of infections
• Properly disposing of medical and hazardous waste according to hospital protocols
• Restock supplies like gloves, masks, and cleaning materials in various hospital areas
• Clean and maintain floors, restrooms, and other surfaces using specialized equipment and chemicals
• Respond to urgent cleaning needs such as spills or contamination incidents and communicate promptly using phone, handheld radios, pagers, and other devices
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness within the hospital and adjacent buildings, which may require traveling between facilities independently
