We are hiring an AutoCAD Design Technician to join our Water/Wastewater team in Panama City Beach, Florida
. This person will support engineers and designers on projects of increasing complexity, completing detailed drawings in a collaborative CAD environment with a focus on Wastewater Treatment Plants/Facilities. • Understanding of Wastewater Treatment Plant/Facility design.
• Use advanced knowledge of computer design software to produce detailed drawings on multiple concurrent projects.
• Revise or change drawings and complete standard calculations with specific instructions.
• Plot maps and charts showing profiles and cross-sections, indicating relation of topographical contours and elevations to structures.
• Complete site layout, dimension control plans, redline cleanup, detail sheet setup, plotting, and exhibits.
• Develop detailed drawings of structures and installations such as buildings, roads, culverts, water supply, sewage disposal systems, and dikes.
• Lay out and scale components of each drawing, prepare plot plans, section views, elevations, and details.
• Complete assigned basic drafting work and print production of plan sets.
• Provide time estimates required to complete tasks.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of CAD software tools, including creating, editing, or modifying surfaces and pipe networks.
• Provide preliminary drawings, sketches, and notes to other CAD Operators.
• Recognize sheet setup preferences and requirements of internal and external clients.
• Maintain file management of CAD files and other documents.
• Recommend best practices and process improvements.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school plus more than 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrates advanced proficiency in design software such as Micro Station/Geopak, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or ArcGIS. Basic knowledge of surfaces, corridors, and utility alignments.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
