We are seeking a skilled and dedicated General Manager to join our team. The General Manager is responsible for all aspects of the operations at the Resort regarding day‑to‑day staff management and guests. The General Manager is an ambassador for Capital Vacations, providing leadership and strategic planning to all departments in support of our service culture that emphasizes optimizing operations and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the operations functions of the Resort.
- Process and submit payroll to Human Resources.
- Hold regular briefings and meetings with all heads of departments, overseeing and managing all departments, and handling guest complaints.
- Ensure full compliance with Resort Operating Controls, SOPs, policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Lead all key property issues, including capital projects, customer service, and refurbishment.
- Handle complaints and oversee service recovery procedures.
- Prepare, present, and achieve the Resort's Annual Operating Budget, Marketing and Sales Plan, and Capital Budget.
- Manage ongoing profitability, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded.
- Develop improvement actions and implement cost‑saving measures.
- Maintain strong understanding of P&L statements and react with impactful strategies.
- Prepare monthly financial reporting for Owners and Board Members.
- Provide effective leadership to all Resort Team Members.
- Respond to audits and safeguard quality of operations, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Travel for company business as needed (average 1‑2 week assignments).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management/Hospitality or equivalent industry job‑related experience.
- Experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager preferred.
- Experience with in the hospitality industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proven strong leadership ability, and ability to manage, direct, and complete assigned duties.
- Excellent computer skills;
Microsoft Office Suite proficiency; ability to prioritize, manage, and delegate efficiently. - Flexible schedule.
