Additive Manufacturing Technician
Perform fabrication of additive manufacturing components and assemblies, including the assembly and fabrication of metallic or mechanical components and assemblies. Operate a variety of additive manufacturing equipment, including 3D printers. Operate mechanical machinery, calibration equipment, power tools, and electronic tooling. Apply knowledge of policies, procedures, and application of the general and specific technical aspects of the job to complete varied and complex work.
Make recommendations for new procedures. Work independently within established procedures and practices, and lead tasks and informally mentor others.
- Operate and maintain a variety of 3D printers.
- Use computers and CAD software.
- Handle and store 3D printing materials.
- Maintain routine maintenance and troubleshooting of 3D printers to ensure reliable operations.
- Monitor production processes and quality results, and make necessary adjustments.
- Conduct post-processing on printed parts, including support removal.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Comply with established quality control processes and procedures.
- Obtain a Secret clearance.
- Experience operating and maintaining a variety of 3D printers.
- Experience using computers and CAD software.
- Knowledge of 3D printing materials, including handling and storage requirements.
- Knowledge of 3D printer routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure reliable operations.
- Ability to monitor production processes and quality results, and make necessary adjustments.
- Ability to conduct post-processing on printed parts, including support removal.
- Ability to maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Ability to comply with established quality control process and procedures.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- HS diploma or GED and 3+ years of experience with 3D printing or additive manufacturing, or associate's degree in Additive Manufacturing and 1+ years of experience with 3D printing or additive manufacturing.
- Experience with Solid Works.
- Experience with 5S and other Lean Manufacturing practices.
- Experience in metal fabrication.

CompensationSalary range: $52,900.00 to $ (annualized USD). Benefits include health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits, paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work-life programs, and dependent care. Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen's benefit programs.
